Tesla Model 3 window break-ins are on the rise as car thieves are exploiting a security vulnerability where the alarm does not ring when the rear quarter-window is broken — this gives the perpetrators a chance to fold down the rear seats and look into the trunk for valuables. Help detract thieves away from your Model 3 with this Rear Quarter Window Protector.

KEY FEATURES:

  • CUSTOM FIT: The windows protector has been custom-cut specifically for the Model 3. Fits all Tesla Model 3 Vehicles from 2017-2020
  • ANTI-THEFT COVER: Prevent window break-ins by thieves.
  • STRONG BUILD: Made from durable ABS plastic. It's sturdy and durable.
  • EASY INSTALLATION: Peel the tape off from the back and just stick it to your windows, easy to install.
  • SET OF TWO: Comes as a pair
  • MUST HAVE ACCESSORY: The Model 3 doesn’t have a sensor to detect that a window has been broken into, so thieves often try to break the back quarter window to lower the seat and see if there’s something in the trunk. It's an essential accessory to prevent your Model 3 from break-ins.

Easy to install, peel the adhesive backing and lined up to the quarter panel then press hard and hold it for a bit.

The results looks good and does not seems out of place at all.

This window cover is a sleek looking addition to my car. The installation was easy and I got it first try on both sides. I don't really expect this to prevent theft as it is held on with 3m tape and could be easily removed if someone really wanted to, but I mainly love making my car look a little different than all the others I see day to day.

Easy 3M instillation, looks great and holds. As far as security enhancement, probably very little but I bought it for the aesthetics.

It is a nice product, sturdy and looks fine too. Only thing that I did not like is one of the piece was faded and lost it's pattern and shine

I received the rear quarter panel window covers promptly.

The items were well packaged and each window cover was in its own plastic sleeve for protection. The carbon fiber appearance looks of reasonably good quality for its purpose and the product finish looks to be quite good.

The installation was extremely simple. I proceeded to get some glass cleaner to make sure that my windows surfaces were as clean as possible, to make sure that the covers adhered to the glass well. The back of each cover has 3M high bond sticky tape which ensures a long-lasting seal to whatever it sticks to.

The way I was able to ensure that each cover was aligned properly was to first make contact with the top edge of the window and slowly bring the cover into place, making sure that the front edge of the window was properly aligned, without going beyond the window glass front lip.

The installation was quick and I am happy with the results of how it looks from the outside of the car. I believe this product will produce the desired effect of reducing interest of a criminal to go the extra step of breaking larger pieces of glass just to get into my trunk. Nothing is perfect, but this is an inexpensive way of decreasing your chances of having this problem happen to you.

The only things I would change would be:

1. The inside of these covers are unfinished plastic which is not noticeable from the outside, but if you turn your head from the inside of the car you can see that the covers are not OEM.

2. I would have chosen to make this a completely flat and nearly black carbon fiber finish, without the fins. This probably would have increased the quality of the finish on the inside, as well as look more stealthy.

If you look carefully, between each of the fins, the carbon fiber cover is not enclosed, instead they are propped up by small plastic pins which defines the 3D look. I would have just gone for a flat & dark carbon fiber product which will probably be easier to produce since it would not be three-dimensional.

If anything, I would at least recommend that this kit include very dark tint sheets, to be applied to the window before the covers, so that you don't notice the unfinished look from the inside.
